Media literacy education is a commonly concerned topic in Communication in recent years. Media communication provides the society with new methods for the spread of democracy notion and education. But media is not a simple mirror of objective world.It not only provides us with information, but also, in a certain extent, affects our feelings and judges to the objective world.The reason is that most media productions are commercial activities, which are aimed to earn profits, so media filter the information according to the feelings and selections of the producers.When we are embraced by media information, it gives us not only convenience and wider vision, but also some kind of loss and suspicion.The new adolescents who grow up in the information age are destined to experience a big revolution, which has never occurred to their father generation.In the vast ocean of information, their study, judgment and utilization of information become an inevitable topic of education in media age. And high school education can not escape form it. Chinese subject, because of her humanity-oriented nature, inherit natural relegation with media literacy. Their joint is possible as Chinese teaching, which is time consuming and slow in effectiveness, is seeking a new opportunity for development in the media age.This thesis, with the hope to provide new concept for Chinese teaching in media age, tries to analyze the penetration of media literacy in the process of Chinese teaching as well as the intervention to students' media literacy from their teachers.In the procedure of defining media literacy, this article tries to research media literacy in the high school Chinese teaching scope by defining media literacy and media literacy education, and CHINESE teaching special scope.Furthermore, the research methods utilized in this article include literature review, questionnaire analysis and case study. Literature materials mainly come from FangZheng Information Center, core magazines like Chinese Study, and other authoritative newspapers including China Education and China Youth Daily.The questionnaire research utilizes quantitative research method.The answer is from 300 students, and 20 first line teachers of Chinese subject who study or work in city-focus, district-focus or normal high schools in the rural area of Shanghai. The overall number of questionnaire is 320, and the number of effective response is 300.All cases used in this article come from the practice of the writer and other first line teachers.
