The paper is to search for the ways and methods of moral education in universities and colleges, i.e. the comprehensive moral education. To begin with, I made a review of the research fruit of comprehensive moral education, and classify and analyze the things which had been collected from a local university and which were regarded as the most impressive things among the college. And then, based on this I constructed a framework for analyzing the comprehensive moral education and a questionnaire. And then, I asked 1000 colleges students to fill the questionnaires, and made individual interviews with 25 teachers, to make an open observation of the university and thus to make an investigation of its moral education. Next, I compared the results of the research with the should-be moral education, found out the degree of identity between the two, and then the problems in moral education. Finally, based on the analysis the problems, I put forwards some suggestions for improvement of moral education in universities and for that of the actual effects of it.On the whole, from the research, college students are not sensitive to teaching, management, guidance, training, services, and surroundings which have deficiencies and thus have negative effects to a certain extant, the research shows that moral education in universities mainly depends on full-time moral educators and institutions. Though the authorities have made efforts, the students still cannot sense it, so such moral education lacks validity.I hold that one of the problems in comprehensive moral education in universities lies in that the moral object is obscured, moral education is mistakenly carried out as a job, and the attendance of all the staff in moral education is hindered. To solve it, we should emphasize the idea of morality object and weaken the idea of morality work,train the moral realization of all the educators and make all the factors exert their moral educating functions, exactly speaking, to reconstruct, the teaching loaded with the purpose of moral education, to make the management of the students better on the basis of self-government, to pay attention to functions of the guidance, to hold activities focused on the purpose of moral education, to form a student-centered service system, and then to create an influential environment for moral education.
