In 2001, the Ministry of Education issued "Basic Education Curriculum Reform Summary (trial implementation)", and decided to promote it. This curriculum reform decides teaching objective by "knowledge and skill", "process and approach", "emotion manner and values". The history discipline teaching must help the student to achieve these three dimensions.However, it is not easy to practice " process and approach" in the middle school history classroom instruction. Our country Middle school history classroom instruction has been restricted to the teaching material and the students has been trained mechanically memorizing predecessor's ready-made answers and the students' thinking process has been abbreviated What is "process and approach"? what is the core the students need to grasp? How do we should carry out "process and approach" in the middle-school classroom?,and so on, these questions need to be pondered and explored deeply.This dissertation consists of 5parts including introduction,3chapters and conclusion.Introduction is about the reviews on current studies in the area of history teaching. as well as the definition of objective.The first part mainly analyzes "process and approach" objective on theory background.The second part nalyzes the case of indication and practice of "process and approach" objective in high school teaching of history.The third part explores the implementation strategy of "process and approach" objective in high school teaching of history.Conclusion is about implications from the study on "process and approach" objective in high school teaching of history, limitations as well as suggestions for further studies.
