Developing vocational education vigorously is a major measure to implement the strategies of reinvigorating China through science and education and strengthening the nation through human resource development, an important approach to increase employment and resolve issues about agriculture, the countryside and farmers, also an essential requirement to construct China's lifelong educational system. As a part of China's Vocational Education System, there are near twenty thousand private training institutions in China, which provided training services to over eight million students in 2009.Facing such a huge market, numerous private capitals has entered and organized various training institutions in different sizes. On one hand the training institutions have taken advantage of private capital to cultivate many persons with ability. On the other hand, due to the old ideas and poor management, some training institutions can not provide good services and leave the public negative impression that they only pay attention to promotion, not focus on curriculum implementation.This thesis takes institution S as an example analyzing its problems from the perspective of curriculum management. The study trys to seek for the reasons behind the problems, then find solutions based on the curriculum management theory and successful experience from global training institutions. This thesis holds curriculum management is the base stone for training institutions to survive and develop. This thesis also holds training institutions should make the value orientation of the curriculum management clear, reinforce curriculum management, develop curriculum according to the marketing trends, implement curriculum with information technology, strengthen the construction of teaching Staff, finally achieve sustainable development with featured curriculum.If the idea of curriculum management is deeply rooted into training institutions, "Give free reign to all styles of art and all schools of thought" can be created among the training institutions. Thus, the whole industry will meet a bright future.This thesis includes five parts:The first part indicates the research background and the main purpose of this study. It defines the concepts of training institutions and curriculum management, clarifies all the related research results, and explains the ways adopted for the research and the structure applied.The second part introduces two kinds of the curriculum Institution S now carrying out:professional certification and vocational education curriculum,also the curriculum management status.The third part points out the curriculum management problems Institution S having:curriculum development management is not professional; curriculum implementation has bottleneck; and curriculum evaluation is incomplete.The fourth part analyzes the causes of curriculum management problems in Institution S:insufficient curriculum awareness; low level of curriculum management informatization; lack of curriculum management organization; Institution S needs more qualified teaching staffs.The fifth part gives some strategies to improve the curriculum management, including making the value orientation of the curriculum management clear, making curriculum management organization more completed, setting up curriculum management system, innovating curriculum implementation models and building a powerful team of teachers.
