The Study Of Orientation In Liaoning Province Private Higher Education

Private Higher Education is one of the most important main parts of China's Higher Education System. Since the reform and opening up in China, Private Higher Education developed that the quantity, scale and education level have been improved constantly. Especially the quantity, China has forty-eight Private Higher College until Aug.2010. However, there are only four in Liaoning Province. We all know that Liaoning Province has ninety-two Higher Schools and forty-three Universities among it. Comparing with the huge number of Higher Governmental Schools, the Private University appears powerless. Therefore, it's significance to study the Private Higher Education of Liaoning Province.The paper mainly based on the positioning theory, Higher School social function theory and stage development theory of Dr. Porter Martin. By the applying of literature research, case analysis research and compare research, it researches the Private University of Liaoning Province from the angle of positioning. Hoping'it could provide some references for the positioning optimization of the Private University in Liaoning Province.There is five parts in this paper.In the introduction, the paper expounds the background and significant of the positioning problems of Private University in Liaoning Province. And it summarizes related existing literature, defines mainly concept and proposes main research contents and frame structuresThe second part is mainly about the meaning of positioning for Private University and its characteristics. It analysis every aspects of Private University's positioning and expounds special aspects.In the third part, the paper is to study the present situation and existing problems of Private University in Liaoning. Using case analysis research, this part concludes present situation of four Private University in Liaoning Province and finds problems of it.The fourth part, it analyses rational reasons that influence Private University positioning in Liaoning Province. Combined with the first part, it also analyses the rational reasons that has problem from the angle of objective and subjective.The fifth part proposes ideas to optimize positioning of the Private University in Liaoning Province. According to the present condition of Private University in Liaoning and unifying related theories, it proposes that Liaoning Private University should insist on scientific development outlook and grasp the development tendency of higher education. And it advises to rival and institutionalized positioning and so on.
