| Gymntics curriculum program is one of the important PE curriculum of middlo school, and it is an effectual mean to promote the healthy development of students both physically and meatally. The status quo in teaching of the gymnatics course. To some degree reflects the results of the middle school education and its quality. However, it is of concern about gymnatics course's teaching present, especially on rural areas. Leaders arenot interested in opening gymnatics courses. Teachers care little about gymnatics. Studentsknow little about the value of the gymnatics course.To investigate and analyse the status quo gymnastics teaching in rural areas in the west of HeNa Province( luo Yang San Men Xia city and Ping Ding San city) This article adopts document literature. Questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and interviewing expert, etc. Based on rural areas are restricted. And pointout the problems and shortages, And also give some suggestions to promote reformation and development in rural areas in order to make it more reasonable, and aimed at promoting a better future in rural areas of the west of HeNna Province.The conclusion auording to the research:1. PZ teacher are young and middle-aged mostly. The age is reasonable bacially, but the proportion between male and female are discordant. Education background lager is undergraduate couse mainly. There are ferr gymnatics teacher major. 2. Students know little about the gymnatics classes and lack the chance to partictpate in extra curricular activities and competion.3.PZ teachers'understanding on sports and health couse standard is reasonable bacially. 4. The content of teaching material on curriculum standard bacially. The teaching ways are old. The develop of rescourse haven't developed fully. There are few classes to attend gymnastics. And the valu way is still judged by teachers. Aerobics dance and other newly developing programs are still in low rates for oping. 5. The bacial area and facilities are still in shortage.
