| China is a large agricultural country, and there are eight hundred million people live in rural areas. In recent years, the party and the country attach great importance to China's very rapid development of sports, but people, especially farmers in rural areas are not very well involved in sports activities, which directly affects the task of building a new socialist countryside, as well as affecting the CPC Central Committee The "Building a well-off society and building a socialist harmonious society " to achieve the goal of affecting the overall quality of the Chinese nation. Therefore, the concerns of rural sports development and research are not only the needs satisfying the development of sports, but also China's social development. Basketball is one of the rural masses'favorite sport activities which is very popular in Henna Province. Basketball is a hot mass sports in rural Henna Province and has been all-timely developed in recent years especially in Sanmenxia, Jiaozuo, Jiyuan, Luoyang. Therefore, studying the current situation in rural areas in basketball culture and exploring the problems and factors which are able to come up with the effective proposals are very beneficial to the sports culture of a new socialist countryside construction.Under the research of the current situation of basketball culture construction in rural area by the main research methods such as the literature, questionnaire, interview survey, statistics and logical method ,one could get the following conclusions.No.1 Material status of symbolic culture: Widespread lack of physical facilities in rural Henna Province, but the overall number is in deficiencies. There is lack of basketball symbol cultural construction in rural areas in Henna Province.No.2 Status of institutional culture: There is lack of standardized management. The Basketball teams and tournaments are less in rural areas.fans and the basketball atmosphere is proportional to the number of male fans, young adults and students are the main features of rural areas; Spring Festival and other major holidays are the major playing time; Media and sponsors less attention to rural events.No.3 Spiritual and cultural status quo: The basketball sports has a positive effect in the rural production and life; ;Traditional culture and Basketball culture are promoting each other in the slow integration phase.No.4 Main factors are: "The rural economy", "Rural sports policies and regulations," "Degree of support for local leadership," "Basketball atmosphere", "Personal motivation" and " Personal'age and Gender."So the following aspects are suggested.First,the layout of basketball court should be reasonably planned in the site construction process in Henna Province , long-term development of basketball in rural areas should be fully considered, and old, small, frontier, and poor areas'site construction should be paid attention to. Multi-channel financing to increase the numbers of the basketball court.Second, the Basketball symbolic of rural culture should be paid attention , and have their own basketball identity.Third, it is to improve the rural sports management, and strengthen government and private sports organization the links, and make develop long-term planning of rural basketball culture.Forth, attention to basketball training for participants and sports values, and actively promoting the traditional folk culture and the integration of basketball culture.Fifth, strengthening the publicity work of the news media, fostering a correct motivation, a healthy lifestyle and exercising habits. Focusing on the development of the rural school basketball, and striving to cultivate the next generation.
