According to the diversity of students, differential instruction encourages students to participate in learning activities that are more suitable for their learning demands, strengths and preference, and thus helps the students achieve the maximum of promotion on the original basis.Through the study of documents, the text summarizes the educational theory and practice on differential instruction in recent years. Guided by Constructivism Learning Theory, Multiple Intelligences Theory, Humanistic Education Theory, Mastery Learning Theory, a survey on individual differences is conducted, and the principles and strategies of differential teaching are proposed.According to the Equipment resources in the school and students in the specific circumstances, we divide the students into flexible groups. Through group activities, self-exploration and mutual learning, students complete tasks in cooperation.After the further study of the mode of differential cooperative group learning, the process and strategies are concluded. At the same time, differential teaching mode is employed in optional courses (chemistry-based courses). Students with different personalities are instructed accordingly. The advantages of the mode are summarized and complements of strategies are made. Educational practice shows that differential teaching is beneficial for students' development and has effective results.
