There are two main ways for teen-ages scientific quality and creative spirit's training, one is science curriculum in the school of elementary education, the other is the scientific and technological activities which are extracurricular or after-school. During the process of after-school scientific and technological activities, the way to achieve the goal of the knowledge and technology's learning, the ability's training and the spirit's promotion, is not the unified teaching process and teaching model, but the direction and practice which is done by the after-school science and technology teacher to the teen-ages. As teen-ages science and technology education's organizer, pedagogue and mentor, after-school science and technology teacher's guiding behavior is through these three processes.Around the topic of "the guiding behavior of the after-school science and technology teacher", through consulting the literature, the treatise firstly discusses the teacher behavior, the development of after-school science and technology education in middle and primary school and teacher behavior, the guiding behavior of the after-school science and technology teacher from a theoretical point of view. On this basis, through statistics, questionnaire survey, interviews and typical cases, the treatise investigates and analyzes the status about the guiding behavior of the after-school science and technology education in Shanghai, finds the guiding behavior problems of the after-school science and technology teacher from three angles----guiding student behavior, organizational behavior and guiding teacher behavior. The treatise also analyzes the causes of the guiding behavior problems, and discusses the countermeasure about how to improve the guiding behavior.The main conclusions of the investigation include:The guiding student behavior of the after-school science and technology teacher reach basic requirements on three explicit sides----whether to set up science and technology training courses for students, training frequency and training contents. After-school science and technology teacher is the main mentor of the students who are the winners of teen-ages science and technology contest, in the major competition, this guidance is more obvious. The organizational behavior of the after-school science and technology teacher reach basic requirement on whether to carry out science activities for students, but it is not satisfactory on two sides----the awareness rate of the science activities in school science teacher and the participation rate of the science activities in school. The guiding teacher behavior of the after-school science and technology teacher reach basic requirements on three explicit sides----whether to set up training activities for teachers, training frequency and training contents. And through the analysis on statistical figures, it also reaches basic requirements on four results----the carry out situation of the schools' science and technology education, the awareness rate, the participation rare and the identify rate of the training activities for school teachers.The problems of the guiding behavior include:The guiding student behavior is lack of curriculum ideas and consciousness of compiling teaching material, the subject's content are too much, and does not distinguish between primary and secondary, it is weak on the science spirit training for students. The organizational behavior has been a lack of coordination and the organization, emphasize competition and despise activity, lack of new content, the introduction of social resources are unevenly distributed between subjects. The guiding teacher behavior has big shortage on system, lack of exemplary teaching material, no teaching system, the training contents doesn't keep pace with the new situation.The root cause of the problem mainly in four aspects:not suit for teacher's quality; after-school science and technology subjects' demand for integrated characteristic; weak organization and management; the restrictions on the external social environment such as the impact of the new situation of after-school science education development, the impact of general opinion on after-school science education and the impact of the policy.Hereby, the treatise discusses the countermeasure about how to improve the guiding behavior from three aspects----the construction and improvement of the system, the improvement of the teacher's quality, and the countermeasure on organization and management. The main suggestions include:set up a new development plan for science and technology subject in after-school education, intensify the theoretical research on after-school science and technology education, improve the construction of the system about after-school science and technology education; set up a training system for new after-school science and technology teacher, intensify the continued education working on after-school science and technology teacher; set up a norm for after-school science and technology teacher's quality, reform the evaluation system for after-school science and technology teacher, and establish a new excitation system for after-school science and technology teacher.
