The era of intelligence calls for the education to cultivate talents with creative ability,comprehensive qualities and lofty ambitions.Based on the six elements of Project Theme Selection,Goal Setting,Condition Analysis,Layout,Content Design and Project Effect Evaluation,this paper integrates some frontier high-tech hot science knowledge in the fields of "life science","material science","earth and universe science" and "science,technology and Engineering" into the project design of extracurricular scientific and technological activities in primary schools.The three designed hot projects including "Carbon Dioxide Recycling and Reuse under the Background of "carbon neutralization","Hydrogen Energy-an High Efficient and Clean Energy" and "Exploration of Public's Knowledge about High Science ? Technology in China's Aerospace ",showing much valuable contribution to this era,have carried out the exploration on the application practice and evaluation of the projects in the senior students in a primary school.According to the principle of project theme selectivity,the project design includes Life,Education and Interest.Based on the requirements of the New Curriculum Standard,the project objectives of "the public's knowledge about the frontier science and technology","scientific concept and application","scientific thinking and innovation","scientific exploration and exchange" and "scientific attitude and responsibility" are set up.According to the characteristics of the public's knowledge about the frontier science and technology as well as the requirements of improving the scientific literacy for the every person,the design of the project content should be popular,contemporary and exploratory.The project practice activities are carried out through the scientific experimental exploration in combination with popular science poster production,scientific material reading and interesting answer contest,so as to cultivate students' comprehensive abilities such as data searching,information processing,using modern electronic technology,self learning,experimental operation,scientific exploration and data analysis,stimulate students' interest in learning,and cultivate students' self-confidence,sense of social responsibility and feelings of home and country.In addition,during the development of the project,students imperceptibly understand the knowledge and future development of some high-tech,broaden their scientific vision,and establish their lofty ideal of loving science,devoting themselves to science and contributing to the process of human civilization.Project 1 is about the scientific research experiment on the ability of green pineapple to absorb carbon dioxide,combined with the production and display of public's scientific knowledge posters,so that students can understand the public's knowledge of the frontier science and technology about the development of carbon dioxide,such as marine carbon capture by using seaweed plants to absorb carbon dioxide,synthetic starch by using carbon dioxide to simulate plant photosynthesis in the laboratory,as well as understand the significantly meaningful ideals about carbon peaking,carbon neutralization,and carbon storage;In Project 2,students will understand the micro composition of water through the scientific inquiry experiment of the water electrolysis,and combined with the fabrication of posters and the reading of scientific and technological materials,students will realize that hydrogen energy shows wide sources,no pollution,and high energy,as well as find wide application as hydrogen fuel cell,hydrogen tram,hydrogen aircraft and so on;The third project is to use the activity form of science fiction creation,poster make and material reading to let students understand the exploration plans of China's future Kilometer Spacecraft and the high-tech knowledge of China's aerospace,such as the Structural Module and Spatial Coupling of China's Space Station.The three projects enrich students' scientific and technological knowledge,stimulate students' interest in further learning science,develop students' ability of active retrieval and learning,interdisciplinary problem-solving,creative materialization,and inject self emotional values education of scientist spirit,national feelings and sense of social responsibility,so as to achieve the effect of synchronous improvement of scientific literacy and comprehensive qualities.
