Science and Technology Museum is an important part of science popularization in China.It improves the scientific and cultural quality of the public by organizing and implementing Popular Science Exhibitions and related scientific education activities.Since the 1980 s,the Science and Technology Museum of our country has obtained the rapid development.The research on science and Technology Museum mostly focuses on the construction of science and Technology Museum,and there is almost no research on the relationship between the educational function of Science and Technology Museum and their activities.It is necessary to study the characteristics and functions of the Science and Technology Museum in order to carry out the educational activities effectively.This is an important topic full of epochal character.It can be divided into four sub-questions: First,what are the functions of the Science and Technology Museum,and what are the aspects of its educational functions? Second,what is the way to achieve the educational function of the Science and Technology Museum —— the activity of Science and Technology Education? Third,what factors influence the organization and implementation of Science and Technology Education Activities? Fourth,how to optimize and improve the Education activities of Science and Technology Museum?In the introduction part,the author introduces the reason of the topic selection and the main problems of the research,expounds the significance of the research from two aspects of theory and practice,and defines the concept of science and Technology Museum,Science and technology education,informal learning and educational function.Then through the domestic and foreign research analysis,the author summarizes the Science and Technology Museum's Education Activities,the Science and Technology Museum of Education Function,the Science and Technology Museum's education and school education relations.In the second chapter,the paper expounds the history and current situation of the development of the Science and Technology Museum in China,and then investigates the basic situation of the staff and audience of the Science and Technology Museum in Hunan Province with the method of investigation and research,on the basis of this analysis of the composition of personnel,professional background and other factors,this paper further expounds the functions of the educational function of the Science and Technology Museum in promoting the development of individuals and society,and expounds that the activities of the science and technology education have the characteristics of the popularization of the objects and the exploration of the experiences.In the third chapter,the author observes and records the science and technology education activities of Hunan Science and Technology Museum as "Earthquake Experience","About Paper","Happy Birthday" and "Ants Story",it mainly includes the preparation before the activity,the organization and implementation of the activity,the effect of the activity and so on.It is found that there is a lack of scientific professional knowledge and educational methods in the implementation of the activity of science and technology education.The audience's personal quality and cooperation influence the development of the activity,and the process of exploration of the activity only stays at the surface and so on.In the fourth chapter,author points out that the implementation of science and technology education activities is influenced by such factors as the profession and expertise of science and technology instructors,the quality and cooperation of audience,and the design and implementation of science and technology education activities.In the fifth chapter,the author puts forward suggestions from three aspects: Building a team of full-time and part-time science and technology instructors,actively understanding the needs of primary and middle school students,and innovating the forms of science and technology education activities,to enhance the targeted training of full-time Science and technology instructors;Second,to create a volunteer team of science and Technology instructors outside the library;Third,to take the initiative to enter primary and secondary schools to introduce the science and technology activities of the Science and Technology Museum;Fourth,to understand the needs of primary and secondary schools in various ways;fifth,comprehensive Use of new media technology to enhance the effectiveness of education;sixth,the focus of science and technology education activities to experience and explore both;seventh,the rational design of flexible use of learning list.
