The 21st century is the era of entrepreneurship, competition among countries in the world focused on innovation and the ability of entrepreneurs. Since the global financial crisis of 2008, economic recession, unemployment, higher education enrollment's expanding, it is more and more difficult to get employed for university graduates. To ease the employment pressure, news media conduct vigorous propaganda for entrepreneurship to improve employment. Such propaganda is very effective that it changes college students from the "role of finding jobs" into "the role of creating jobs."It has already quietly sprung up the entrepreneurial style in Shanghai. And that can promote the pioneering spirit gradually in our society, to create a new kind of social climate of entrepreneurship. Graduate students in Shanghai play an important role in such trend. However, entrepreneurship is not an easy task to students. In this paper we mainly focus on the characteristics of college students in the present of Shanghai by using methods of documentary, investigation and comparative research, and compare the role of domestic and foreign governments and universities in the venture mechanism. Combined with education, social environment and the relevant favorable policies from governments, we try to find out the deep-seated problems in the current business mechanism whether in the place of government or university, and on that base we hope to work out a path for college students to succeed in the process of entrepreneurship. This will be of great practical significance in improving the employment situation and the quality of ventures for graduate students.Chapter One outlines the background, purpose, significance of the research, defines the relevant core concepts, introduces the theory of entrepreneurship, reviews related research at home and abroad, which lays a theoretical foundation for the whole paper. The second part is mainly built on the basis of questionnaires to analyze and elaborate the entrepreneurial status of university students in Shanghai, especially Putuo District. Chapter three describes the development, characteristics of American college enterprise education and its enlightenment for our enterprise education. Part four analyzes the problems in the process of starting a business from three respects:entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial education, and entrepreneurial policy. The last chapter puts forward a number of recommendations, constructs a successful venturing model called"666", and summarizes the main conclusions. It also explores the practical significance and points out the shortcomings of this study.
