The Research Based On URP To Solve The Problem Appeared In The Construction Of Digital Campus

In the Digital Age, the construction of Digital campus is the inevitable mission for University. Its construction level also represents the degree of modernization and comprehensive power of universities. In the early stage of educational informatization, MIS-systems which developed independently by various departments are widely used. It did played a vital role in promoting Digital management in the university. However, with the construction of Digital campus developed comprehensively, MIS-systems brought out a series of problems such as Information silos, duplicate of constructions among departments on campus. So it's very important for universities to find out a scientific Construction Mode of digital campus.In developed countries such as Europe and America, ERP (enterprise resource planning) mode is extensive used the result of which has been proved not ideal. Tsinghua university proposed the idea of URP(University Resource Planning) by combining the particular background of university with the theory of ERP, which states that campus should pay more attention to overall resource planning instead of information managenment, and also states that campus should change the traditional way of collecting information passively into distributing resource actively. Once URP mode is used, the resource of university can be used more thoroughly. URP provided a new idea for the campus to solve its problems.By taking East China Normal University as an example, the paper analyzes its advantage and the existing problems,also discusses the solutions for Digital campus construction problems based on theory of People-oriented and sustainable development.The paper firstly summarizes current construction situation of Digital campus all over the world, introduces the theory of digital campus including development stage, main method and construction principles, analyzes the background and meaning of URP. Also analyzes the develop tendency of educational informatization all over the world. And then, investigates the digital-campus-construction situation of East China Normal University, analyzes the advantage and the existing problems, as well as the cause of the problems. Finally, by taking the sustainable development and People-oriented as guiding thought and by carrying out the principle of URP, this paper trys to find out countermeasures of the existing problems of East China Normal University's digital-campus-construction, and prospects the future work of digital-campus construction based on URP.
