Among the existing professional art colleges, many are upgraded from technical secondary schools in recent years and inherit the management mode of former technical secondary schools, in which evaluation of students places more emphasis on art majors than on basic education, on marks than on comprehensive qualities and so on. With the further development of system reform in professional art education, it becomes increasingly severe for art graduates from these colleges to find a job; therefore at these colleges we can't only pay attention to students'major as before, but to many potentials and qualities, especially to training and assessment of students'initiative spirit and practical ability. It gives a new challenge to the assessment system of students'comprehensive qualities. We must adapt the traditional system and switch to develop and undertake more scientific and efficient ideas and patterns.On the basis of studying and using for reference the assessment researches of undergraduates in recent years, in this thesis it analyzes at Hebei Vocational Art College students'problems in assessment of practice with new theories of education and management, builds suitable assessment mode for here and forms reference schemes of assessment for this college as well as for others.This thesis consists of the following six chapters:Chapter One: Introductory Theory. It mainly expounds the background and meaning of the selected topic in this thesis, domestic and overseas literature summarization, the defining of core concepts, the framework and methods of research.Chapter Two: The value orientation, cardinal rules, and main methods of the students'comprehensive quality assessment.Chapter Three: The current assessment situation of students at Hebei Vocational Art College. It mainly analyzes Hebei Vocational Art College's education target, current assessment situation and summarizes the problems in it.Chapter Four: It constructs assessment system of students from the College, which is the core of this thesis, including two major parts: First, it screens subjects with Delphi Technique and elaborates the contents and operation methods of each evaluation index; second, it structures the evaluation model with AHP. Chapter Five: The implement of student assessment at Hebei Vocational Art College. Merits in this chapter lies in the two parts: First, it makes an explicit guiding concept in the implement of student assessment system; second, it organizes and implements student assessment.Chapter Six: Conclusion. It generalizes the main research conclusion, points out its boundedness in terms of the problems and features in the research, and the orientation in the future research in this field.
