A Comparative Study On Juvenile Delinquency Under The Perspective Of Cyberculture

Nowadays internet has virtually touched each corner of people's life and the development of the internet is changing our way of life. Cyber culture, as an emerging subset of human civilization, is gradually developing and progressing while inheriting the traditional culture. Of course cyber culture is a double-edged sword. Though cyber culture doesn't contain any original sin, it's still undeniable that cyber culture has brought some negative influence. Youth are the hope of the country and the future of the nation. They have become the main group to engage in the cyber culture. They are both the consumer and the producer of cyber culture. Their own behavior is influenced by the cyber culture while at the same time they exert their own impact on the culture via their behavior. This thesis, via the new perspective of cyber culture, studies the reasons behind juvenile delinquency, reviews juvenile delinquency under the background of cyber culture, and finally proposes the prevention and supervision system for juvenile delinquency, so that a wholly new thought is expected to be brought to the prevention and supervision of juvenile delinquency. The first chapter begins with the connotation of culture, identifies the meaning of cyber culture by describing the formation and development of cyber culture, analyzes the characteristics and functions of cyber culture in an all-round way, so that a cornerstone for the elaboration in the following parts can be laid.The second chapter analyzes the reasons for juvenile delinquency under cyber culture, and the specific four reasons that are concluded are: negative cyber culture content hampers the healthy development of youth's body and mind, cyber culture is derailed from family education, the lack of guidance of cyber culture in school education, the integration of cyber culture and ill social environment.The third chapter starts with the argument that youth are the main group of cyber culture. It comes to the conclusion that the fast development of cyber culture has direct influence upon youth through analysis of juvenile delinquency data and specifically the data of Zhejiang Province, so that the necessity of studying juvenile delinquency in the perspective of cyber culture is confirmed. Then it analyzes the type of juvenile delinquency based upon cyber culture and categorizes the juvenile delinquency into four types, which are incentive, media, tools and subjects. Then it concludes the six main characteristics of juvenile delinquency under cyber culture.Upon the third chapter's analysis, the fourth chapter deals with the prevention and supervision of juvenile delinquency under cyber culture People should be active in prevention, efficient in administration and scientific in criminal punishment.This thesis revolves closely around the features, types, characteristics, reasons, prevention and supervision of juvenile delinquency in the perspective of cyber culture, argues methodically about the prevention and supervision of juvenile delinquency in a gradual way, so that full and sound study results are concluded about prevention and supervision of juvenile delinquency in the perspective of cyber culture.
