The Study Of The Transformation Of Example Education In New China

Example education which is a kind of demonstration education, compared with theoretical education, has advantages with vitality, concreteness, situationality and so on. In the process of education, the strength of example is infinite. As a social practice, example education has been playing an inestimable role in the process of human civilization. Recalling the glories created in more than sixty years in New China, the focus has to be on the heroes as examples having emerged in all walks of life in different periods, such as, heroes in wartime, model workers and public servants in the construction, etc. who are noble images of"selflessness", models of thought and behavior and witnesses of the change and development of the country. They have moved the whole nation and turned out to be the"backbone"of Chinese people.Therefore, this paper will first differentiate and define example and example education on the basis of present situation at home and abroad. Then, there will be the division of its periods, according to the main tasks in different historical stages. Next, this paper will retrospect the course of the example education since the founding of New China, including analyzing the background of the emergence of the heroes, the launching of the campaign, the characteristics and effect of it, and sum up the experience of example education, which will be helpful to the project of political, ideological and moral education. With the radical transformation of society, example education has tended to be weakened. This trend is a challenge to the example education, including social transformation, value diversity and so on. The paper also points out the existing problems with example education as its effect being weakened and the propaganda lacking hierarchy and security, and propose feasible suggestions to the example education, for example, to take scientific outlook on development as guidance, to make examples diversified, and to establish the guarantee mechanism, etc. Example education should be enriched both theoretically and practically. This is the inevitable demand of the times to ideological and political education.
