Looking back upon the 20th century, the rapid development of modern Physics theories has motivated the development of many new subjects as well as the related fields, including macroscopic, cosmoscopic, mesoscopic, biologic and microcosmic fields, which has promoted the huge progress of science and technology. Looking into the 21st century, Physics will further promote the development of science and technology by providing a scientific foundation to a greater extent. Therefore, Physics teaching should meet higher standards and the General College Physics Course based on Fundamentals of Physics is the compulsory basic course for junior grade students of Science and Technology in institutions of higher education.For a long time, great attention has been paid to researches on different educational stages, while the connection between the educational stages has not been attached with much importance until the 1970s and 1980s and therefore related theories are still not perfect. Senior high schools in China have gradually processed a new curriculum reformation since 2004. It is well-known that everything in the world is connected and a slight move in one part may affect the situation as a whole. The curriculum reformation of senior high schools is concerned with not only the teaching in senior high schools, but also the teaching in primary schools, junior high schools and even colleges. Therefore researches on the connection between colleges and senior high schools are facing new challenges.With reference to plenty of literature, this paper firstly makes a summary and classification of the researches on educational connection at home and abroad, and then makes an analysis and comparison between the textbooks of senior high school Physics and General College Physics under the new curriculum standard. Through questionnaire survey, educational statistics, qualitative research and many other research methods, this paper conducts an investigation into the current situation of General College Physics teaching and learning, and a deep analysis of the reason for the maladjustment in college learning. Suggestions on improving college Physics teaching and learning are put forward basing on the research in order to better adapt junior grade students to college Physics study through the improvement of teaching and learning.
