Autonomous Country is in remote area in the whole Benxi city, it's a undeveloped country, Teachers level and teaching equipment and other conditions are very limited.Education resources are more scarce. But since Autonomous Country was designated as the new curriculum experiment district in 2004, and teaching fellows of Liaoning Province Education and Research Training Center found that multimedia-aided education is very deficiency through investigate and survey. They required Autonomous Country's education bureau and school working depth, detailed and solid from the reality of the country, follow the law of education and teaching. It made multimedia-aided teaching have great strides in the whole country. Multimedia-aided teaching's application is an important part in modern teaching technology. With the reform of education and the requirements of teachers, multimedia in teaching is widely used. But in Autonomous Country has some phenomenon that some teachers reluctant to try new teaching methods, they unwilling to use multimedia. Some teachers use multimedia instead of teachers' teaching. They think more application is better by mistake. The result is the students feast in class but empty brain after class. This emphasis the pattern of activity, while ignores the activities of effect. Using multimedia technology in primary school, the education circles have more theory studying, but in practice have less guidance.In this paper, take the case of Autonomous country in Benxi, through the current status of multimedia applying in English teaching make a systematic investigation and statistical analysis. And trying to find the coping strategies through studying the multimedia's using conditions. The aim is optimizing the teaching courses and enhancing the teaching quality.This paper is carried out based on the background analysis. The paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter summary the primary school's English teaching conditions and problems such as the problems in primary school's English books, teachers and students problems. And the meaning of multimedia combines with English teaching. The second chapter describes the theory associated with the multimedia technology, analyzes the status of using multimedia technology from the whole world. And proposes theoretical basis about the multimedia using in English teaching. The third chapter carries on survey and statistical analysis about the applying condition by interview, case studies and surveys. Mainly survey the multimedia equipment in Autonomous County, the teachers applying multimedia in English studying and the students learning conditions with multimedia. At last analytic the survey's results. The last chapter makes a summary and reflection about the investigation.This study makes objective and reality survey about the multimedia using in primary school's English teaching, and explores the specific and systematic strategies. The author hopes to give some primary teachers suggestions and provide some data and empirical material to experts.
