The conspicuous point of online learning lies in its educational advantage, and provides a text-based deep interactive capability, without being limited by time and space.Furthermore, it provides a unique network learning situation and process serving as a kind of asynchronous ecological learning environment.During the establishing such process, challenges we have to face is to design and create situations.Only should we provide appropriate content and modest goal, improve cognitive ability, the high-order learning outcomes can be obtained. Although, the researches on the virtual online learning community study have received extensive attention, the learning results are not satisfied enough through a lot of research reports which are applied to network education, no matter in traditional technology or advanced technology. What is the primary cause? This article attempts to explore the social presence and its influencing factors so as to make a preliminary research and lay a solid foundation for further study. This study begins with the theoretical interpretation on virtual learning community and the sense of social presence.Impact factors(IFs) on the social presence of the virtual learning community is achieved through the questionnaire survey selecting 209 from CSDN, Ucenter and Moodle community as subjects. IFs are:F= technology (4.717%)+interactive (11.754%)+emotions (9.943%)+group cohesion (35.843%)+other (37.742%). Detailed analysis is carried out and the stratgies are proposed to improve the social presence in the virtual learning community.Chapter 1 is the introduction part which mainly introduces the background and the problems related to it to establish this research value. The other one mainly describes the purpose, significance and frame of paper.Literatures related to the virtual learning community are reviewed in chapter 2, including the demarcating the basic concepts, and carding the dimensions of social presence through the literature review. Chapter 3 is based on the questionnaire survey on virtual learning community social presence to understand the basic situation of the community learners. The seven main influencial factors are concluded in the virtual learning community by SPSS statistical data, namely the orientation, integration, communication, relationships, technology, expression and criticalness. Four conclusions are ultimately obtained by the corresponding analysis on social presence factors, obtain the final.Chapter 4 mainly analyzes five aspects (learners characteristics, learning behavior, interactive, emotion and cohesion) attributed to the virtual learning community based on the investigation and analysis in the previous chapter, and proposes four strategies. Firstly, we should strengthen the role of the community leader. Secondly, the ability of virtual people should be respected, the virtual organization should be organized more efficiently, the interaction between members of the community should be enhanced to form of the cohesion of the group. Thirdly, we should enhance the incentive mechanism of the community, promote individual learners (such as cain guest or silence of the participants) enthusiasm. Finally, the service-oriented community should be established to ensure user privacy by improving the technology, to enhance humanity of the community platform and improve real-time interactive function and dynamic nature of the interface. The relationship chart of dimensions for social presence in the virtual learning community is drawn from this chapter.Chapter 5 is concluded by summarizing the conclusion of this research and the future research content. The benefit has been gotten to some extent, but, there are still a lot of room to be improved.
