Finland, with a population of 5.3 million, covering only an area of 338 thousand square kilometers, is poor in natural resources and bad climate conditions, and had been a colony of Sweden and Tsarist Russia for nearly eight hundred years, whereas, it has made remarkable achievements in its primary and secondary school education in recent years. Since 2000, Finland has been an outstanding country in the every three years round of international student assessment program (PISA) of the World Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and made exceptional success in its ordinary high school education reform. Therefore, the success of Finnish education has drawn attention of numerous nations all round the world in recent years. Research findings show that the success of middle and primary school education in Finland benefited from its first-class quality schoolteachers. Experience shows that teachers are key factors in promoting social development and improving educational quality. The current Finnish primary and secondary school teachers are practicing the people-oriented and diverse teaching methods (such as lecturing type, autonomous and cooperative type, experiential, exploring and inquiring and learning, etc.). However, most primary and secondary school teachers in China, affected by traditional education idea, with out-dated knowledge and insufficient teaching ability, using lecturing type teaching methods, which led to low teaching quality. Therefore, through investigating teaching methods reform of schoolteachers in Finland, references and enlightenments can be made in changing teaching method and improving teaching quality of schoolteachers reasonably and effectively in China.This thesis can be divided into five parts: Partâ… , Foreword. The paper introduced in brief multiple-choice source, the present research situation, research significance, the research purpose and thoughts and methods.Partâ…¡, The connotation of the teaching method. The schools in this paper refer to comprehensive schools and ordinary high school in Finland. Teacher's teaching method in the teaching process means the integration of implicit teaching philosophy and explicit teaching behavior, according to the relationship among teaching factors and the guidance of developmental teaching idea.Partâ…¢, Change history, status quo and tendency of teaching methods of Finnish schoolteachers. This section makes a detailed explanation for Finnish pedagogical reform history of the primary and middle school, from Independence Day to late 1960's, from early 1970's to late 1980's, and since 1990's; This section also clarifies that Finnish pedagogical reform situation and its future development trends of the primary and middle school features humanity, flexibility and diversity.Partâ…£, Influence factors of teaching methods of Finnish schoolteachers. Influence factors were mainly consisted of five aspects:government, educational departments, schools, social environment and teachers themselves.Partâ…¤, Enlightenments of teaching methods of Finnish schoolteachers. This research suggests that the enlightenments include:to perfect the governmental and educational departments'supporting system for each primary and secondary school; to regulate and standardize teachers'selecting and training system; to sound education and teaching management; to create positive social cultural environment; to implement student-oriented and diverse teaching methods.
