Yoga is a new project, which in recent years has Spread all over the world. It sets action, breathing, meditation as a whole, so that practitioners could achieve the unity of vitality and mind. Yoga not only focus on physical training, gesture, action and other outer beauty, but also focus on training aesthetic ability, sentiment of aesthetic and other inner beauty. At the same time, through exercising could correct students'body position; improve sense of rhythm, flexibility and coordination. It also plays an important role on reduce stress and relax the spirit. These effects are consistent with physical and psychological characteristics of students. The most important is that it can improve physical, mental and spiritual aspects of health.Since Yoga has been carried out in the university, it has been welcomed by majority of teachers and students. Some colleges and universities in Chongqing has already taken Yoga courseas a electivecourses in Public Physical Education.In this paper, aiming at finding out the present situation of Yoga teaching in colleges and universities of Chongqing City, the author investigated and analyzd on the present situation of Yoga teaching in colleges and universities of Chongqing City, and then analyzed the current problems and value of Yoga teaching and put forward countermeasures in order to let Yoga courseas in physical education in schools be better promoted and carried out. the author further clarify the objectives of teaching Yoga, Yoga in physical education play in Functional value, and play Yoga fitness, strive to regulate the role of physical and mental health, so Yoga to better integrate into society and become life-long sport of fitness preparation; and this new project and better development of colleges and universities in Chongqing Reference, to further promote the university to provide theoretical guidance for teaching Yoga.Since the development of Yoga is short college, its teaching methods, content, assessment methods is still not perfect, which is still at the exploration stage of starting and improvment. In this paper, combining education, psychology and training and other aspects of knowledge, and using literature data, questionnaire, interview and mathematical statistics, the author took teaching Yoga classes in colleges and universities in Chongqing as object of study. The research has found that Chongqing has 9 colleges and universities set up Yoga classes. The author took a representative of seven schools of all students and teachers conducted a survey as the main focus of the investigation and analysis due to the limited conditions, mainly from the Yoga teacher, teaching effectiveness, student learning, facilities and other aspects of questionnaires. Through research, comprehensively analyzed the present situation and course value of Yoga teaching in colleges and universities of Chongqing City, the main conclusions are as follows:The age structure of Yoga teachers in colleges and universities in Chongqing City tends to be younger. Most of them have been teaching Yoga of the time between 1 to 5 years and the current education structural condition of Yoga teachers are in general, academic teaching staff is relatively weak; most Yoga teachers are part-time teachers. Most Yoga teachers learn Yoga through self-study or training courses, most Yoga teachers participated in professional training for vocational continuing education and basically qualified for the teaching of Yoga.There is no uniform teaching materials, most schools took their own teaching materials, teaching content is decided by teachers themselves, some colleges and universities have any Yoga teaching materials; hours of teaching is less, a lot of teachers and students claimed that the amount could not meet the fitness needs. In terms of teaching content, many schools do not have a special theory, generally the combination of theory and practice; teaching methods and more dominated by traditional teaching, teaching methods is relatively simple; Yoga portfolio assessment content to self-based, for quality testing and theory Examination of the small. Results from the teaching point of view, to improve student fitness Yoga, mental, physical and other aspects of temperament good results and greatly enhanced the children's self-confidence, aesthetic ability, expressive and fitness awareness, to promote student Comprehensive development played a positive role.Optional Yoga class female students significantly more than boys, indicating that boys have a certain limitations and misunderstandings on understanding Yoga; before learning Yoga, many students do not know Yoga, this shows that the publicity Yoga in university in Chongqing City has been done not so well and that Yoga did not get a wide range of development and popularization. Through the practice of Yoga, most Yoga students generally agreed that Yoga has an improving effect on the enhanced physical, mental regulation to promote mental health and other aspects.Most of the students are satisfied with teachers'teaching, but they also hope that schools can offer more features Yoga courses. Colleges and universities should strengthen Yoga teachers' training so as to improve teaching quality and meet the educational needs of students.School-related physical education department heads not pay enough attention to the physical education, academic teaching staff is relatively weak, inadequate curriculum, lack of teaching space and facilities are major factors that influence the continued development of college Yoga classes. School leaders and relevant departments should pay attention to the construction of Yoga courses and curriculum development, increasing investment, improving the quality of teacher professional standards, and gradually improve the teaching system, optimize the Yoga courses, extensive teaching facilities, teaching Yoga to provide a conducive teaching and carrying out research conditions.Setting up Yoga in universities has a very important value and meaning.
