The mental factor of young track and field player is one of the important factors that take much influence on the athlete's performance. However, the research on flow of young track and field player is a weak point in the whole research of physical sport psychology, and there is no doubt that flow can put a positive effect on achieving good performance. Nevertheless, at present, the research of physical sport psychology in our country is not deep only scratch the surface and unsystematic. What's more, there is lacking of study on specific sports program associate with other mental factors. So the research has some theoretical and practical significance in selection of young track and field athletes through psychological means and scientific training.By using literature approach, expert interviewing method and psychometric approach the research took a survey of self-efficacy, motivation level and flow based on 135 Young Track and field athletes. During the research, compared to the different ages, training duration, level of athletes and the position of each athlete, and also analyzed the relation among the self-efficacy, motivation level and flow.The test shows that the high level of athlete in the test showed high level self-efficacy and more flow. The group in 16 and the training duration over 6 years showed high intrinsic motivation level and got higher scores in 9 criteria of flow. And that the positive effects which relate to the flow of young male track and field athletes are is self-efficacy。The research shows that it exist there is a notable positive correlation between the deeds and action-awareness merging in flow and the a factor including self-efficacy. In addition, according to the research show that it exist a notable negative correlation between the deeds and action-awareness merging in flow and the 3 factors including reduced sense of accomplishment emotional/physical exhaustion and devaluation. At last but not least, the self-efficacy, mental fatigue can be regard as the important factors to predict the flow of young athletes.
