Survey And Analysis Of Beijing Sport University Wushu Elective Course Reform

Before the second decade of this century begins, the course contents of martial arts which has at least one hundred years in our country have got into the trouble that teenager students favor the imported things like taekwondo and keep distance from our traditional martial arts. Thus, to improve the course contents of martial arts in sports colleges, how to get rid of this trouble comes first. In order to meet students'needs, teaching contents of martial arts tend to be shorter, more focused and easier to learn. The aim of doing so mainly focuses on highlighting the application hacking and defence and fostering national spirits, and the practicing ways develop from practicing individually to combining the individual practice with sparring. Series of documents are formulated to facilitate the reformation of the course contents of martial arts in the colleges. Besides, some experts and scholars spare no efforts to promote the innovation of martial art teaching contents. For example, Beijing Sport University first proposed the guiding principle "extruding school, optimizing routine, emphasizing the application, promoting culture". However, because of the restrict ion of the teachable sites and teaching hours, problems of the contents of both general selective courses and optional courses like students can't master well for the cudgel play courses are too long or the training sites are too small comes about. For that reason, this study tries to do some necessary innovation the present contents of general selective and optional courses, which is premise with sticking to the guiding principle "extruding school, optimizing routine, emphasizing the application, promoting culture"First of all, the contents of general selective and optional courses of short cudgel and swordsmanship, which are selected and edited according to the essence of the principle "extruding school, optimizing routine, emphasizing the application, promoting culture" received complete recognition from the experts after the specialists assessed and the editor amended many times. Then, after lots of teaching experiments and content verifications, the editor did questionnaire survey aimed af the students who attended the lessons, and the experts evaluated the learning results.At last,the panel judges ananimously thought the newly organized teaching contents of short cudgel and swordsmanship meet the teaching requirements of Beijing Sport University and they can be promoted.There are many reasons why the newly edi ted contents of short cudgel and swordsmanship courses can be so effective. The main ones are:First, the problems of small sites and less teaching hours are solved;Second, students' enthusiasm for practicing martial arts is stimulated;Third, the contents gain approval from the students attending the class and also received the experts' affirmation;Fourth,students' ability to attack and defence is strengthened;Last,such contents help students understand the implications of attack and defence better and help keep the movements in mind.What' s more, there are some requirements for the teachers of general selective and optional courses of short cudgel and swordsmanship. The first one is that teachers should enhance the holistic drills of the combined movements during the presentations,in order to enhance the students' awareness of all the movenents they learned.The second is to increase the chances of sparring to satisfy students' desire for practicing martial arts.The third is using modern multimedia to play the sparring video so as to arose students' motivation of practicing martial arts.The fourth refers to cultivating students' quality of bravery in good time.The last one is to increase pair practices and improve the art of attack and defence to augment students' interests in practicing martial arts on the assumption that students' safety can be guaranteed.
