As the most representative of Wushu, Taiji is one that has a rich deposit for sustainable development. This research is expected to get the basic data reflecting the real development of Taiji industry in Tangshan through a relatively systematic investigation so as to analyze the deficiency of its present situation and put forward some reasonable suggestions.Under the guidance of the related theories of the sports industry, the author tries her best to read a lot about the materials of the Taiji industry using the method of literature data, questionnaire, mathematical statistics and expert interview to collect, summarize and analyze them in order to grasp the reliable theory. On the basis of the analysis of the first-hand data of the current development of Taiji in Tangshan under the method of questionnaire and expert interview, a conclusion is drawn as follows:1. As a traditional body-building sport, taiji in Tangshan is loved by the masses; 2. With the continuous development of the regional economy, the Taiji industrialization in Tangshan has already made a gratifying pace but with an imbalanced development; 3. The Taiji industry market development needs to be regulated; 4. Tangshan Taiji industry is insufficient of capital investment; 5. Tangshan Taiji industry is lack of regulation mechanism; 6. Tangshan Taiji industry is weak in research and development; 7. Tangshan Taiji industry is insufficient in talents.The following suggestions are put forward on the basis of the above problems in the investigations for the reference of a much perfect development of the Taiji industry in Tangshan:1. To expand the market space by strengthen the international exchanges; 5. To cultivate the business personnel in Taiji industry; 6. to attach importance to the promotion of Taiji in schools in Tangshan.
