The New Curriculum Reform has provided us with a brand new view point to education which promotes to create a "Learning Centered" classroom. The education of adolescents as beings under development should be directed and guided effectively in a way that is scientifical. Only through this, the demands of the New Curriculum Reform could be carried out in real practice.It is under this circumstance, this paper aiming at studying automatically learning observed, investigated and studied in depth the Chinese note taking of junior middle school students in Shanghai. The paper founds out that note taking has a high relevance to students'way of learning. Thus, in order to change students'way of learning, the paper investigated junior middle school students'note taking phenomenon, based on which the paper came up with some new strategies on changing students' ways of learning.Under this aim, the paper is divided into five parts.The first part is an introduction to and description about the background, the aim, the content and methods of the study.The second part is a summery on domestic and oversea studies on this topic. The paper sorted out mainly topics on note taking and ways of learning, which including their concepts and study results. This has laid a good foundation for the further study.The third part is an analysis of junior middle school students'note taking phenomenon and some implications. Through a recorded qualitative description and quantitative analysis, the paper tried to present a more object description.In the fourth part, the paper tried to find out some factors that effect students' way of note taking. It has findings on the social, individual and contextual factors.In the last part, the paper proposed a new note taking concept based on the former four parts It came up with a practical solutions and suggested a new note taking modes.
