New round of China's ongoing reform of basic education is a change in personnel training mode, teaching reform is the basis of an important part of education reform. In the most talent in the 21st century under the background of scarce resources, personnel training as an important carrier for the materials you need further exploration and study, and to summarize the more practical and scientific materials. Therefore, the historical evolution of teaching materials, teaching materials summarize the different characteristics of each period, summed up the ideological and political experience in the preparation of teaching materials, and promote scientific learning and teaching materials is particularly necessary and urgent. At the same time teaching the history of evolution of the classroom teachers to better understand and use new materials also have some helpful.This paper uses the literature analysis and comparative research methods, to People's Education Press,1996 and 2004 edition textbook third year high school of political thought politics (political life) two editions of the textbooks as the carrier, by comparing the text materials from old and new concepts in the curriculum, teaching materials and structure, teaching specific content and presentation materials to compare the four point difference between them, on the basis of new materials are summarized in comparison with the old materials made gratifying achievements and shortcomings. The novelty of this paper is only based on the high part of the political teaching of political common sense compared to lower entry point, and thus for the issues discussed in real life with a certain practical significance. Finally, the author of the textbook reform has also made a number of their own thinking: how to deal with new materials and life, and how to deal with the relationship between new textbooks and teaching and how to deal with new materials and the relationship between the way students learn, how to deal with new teaching materials and educational evaluation relationship.
