With the promotion of the curriculum innovation and teachers'professional development, Teacher Education, once again was put on the agenda. It's very imminent to train teachers who have a set of skills, such as instructional development and class organizational skills, communication and cooperation skills, educational research capabilities, and modern educational technology abilities etc. So we have to find a more effective training method. Educational Studies is one of them, and its principle is "research in practice, practice with research". It emphasizes the combination of theory and practice. In a sense, Educational Studies is a new learning activities mixed practice and theory together.Practice plays a fundamental role in education studies. But practice in education studies are rather than the simple application of theories, it emphasizes the development of the theories and the improvement of various capacities through practice. So we can say that education studies is the combination of "practice" and "research".The education studies based on the course of Computer Based Education is carried out by the Education Information Technology Department of East China Normal University and Shanghai Nujiang Middle School. From this course, students can not only get the theories about teaching and studying, but also develop the abilities of practice which are relative of basic education. In order to achieve this goal, we designed a mode of practice which consists of five activities, they are Micro Teaching, watching teaching, CAI development, BBS interaction and self assessment. Among them, CAI development embodies the major characteristic.Education studies is a new learning activities and its goal is to change the way of teaching. In order to know the effects of it, we do some study on it through the methods of questionnaire. After some analysis, we find that the education studies improves students' abilities effectively through the combination of theories and practice. At the same time, it also gives some inspirations about how to improve the effect of the education studies.
