Biology course, as compulsory course during obligatory education stage and important high school course, needs to promote its development smoothly by effective teaching connection between the two stages of middle school education, which in turn benefits the achievement of three-dimension goal in teaching and further optimization of common high middle school biology education on the basis of obligatory education. However, successful course teaching connection between the two stages of middle schools was impeded by the differences of students'learning abilities, teachers'teaching patterns and teaching material's contents between the junior middle school stage and the following high middle school stage.The main research methods this thesis has applied are content analysis, comparative analysis and document retrieval method.There are four parts in this dissertation. In the first part, the basic concepts, domestic and western research situation, significance of doing this study, together with the methodologies and framework used in this research, are narrated in broad outline. The second part describes the theoretical foundation of this study theme, including cognitive learning theory, constructive learning theory, recent development zone theory and the theory of Piaget stage form of expression. Next, when it comes to the third part, four aspects of the two biology curriculums on textbook content and compilation, experiment arrangements and humanism education are also discussed through comparative analysis, from similarity and difference of which, corresponding inspirations to teaching connection was also brought up by combination of related theory. At last, the fourth part, as a summary of my dissertation, concluded the innovation, deficiency and prospect of this research topic.
