The textbook's positioning is changed by the geography new curriculum reform, It is viewed as the material to guides students to analyze and understand the geographical things and geographical regularity, is the version that student obtain knowledge, acquisition methods, improve literacy. interactive text of Geography textbook became a vital link of the new curriculum reform. Currently, the country's new geography textbook is still at the stage of exploration, research of interactive text on middle school textbooks has great significance to push forward the country's new geography curriculum reform.This paper compares the design of the interactive text of the geographic textbooks in China and America.analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the interactive text of geographic textbooks in this two countries. Summarizes design principles and strategies of the interactive text. The article is divided into six parts:The first part is an introduction.Mainly discussed the background,meaning, present situation and the existence question of the research, and introduces the research approach, innovations and technical route. The second part introduces the research and design theory basis of the interactive text. The third part introduces the of Geographic Textbook,including the definition, classification and functions of interactive text.The fourth part compares the interactive text in the corresponding contents of geographic textbooks of China, which is the ordinary high school curriculum standard experiment textbooks published by People's education press, and of America, which is called ,concludes the merits and shortcomings in the design of interactive text of and our new geographic textbooks.The fifth part puts forward the basic principles and strategies of optimize design of the interactive text on Geographic Textbook of China, on the basis of Analysis and comparison. The sixth part summarizes the basic conclusion of this paper, and puts forward the deficiency and further research problems.
