With the development of electronic technology and network technology, many different forms of education resources which was based on the Internet emerged , such as project-based learning websites, network courses and so on. They expand the learners' learning time and space, but we found that students' enthusiasm which has been stimulated by those resources is far less than that by electronic games. The main reason is that most of those resources are digital textbooks,and lack new knowledge, new content and interaction. While the electronic games can make up the insufficiency for the network education resources, it set up a virtual situation into which learners will immerse with role playing, and the game tasks can help to stimulate learners' enthusiasm, thus make learners to obtain knowledge initiatively, and to complete the game target (learning task).In RPG(Role Playing Game,a form of electronic Game), the Role players explore the Game situation and complete the Game tasks. Under this feature, transforming the knowledge into the RPG task,combining project-based learning websites with the RPG,the RPG learning community is formed. In RPG learning community, learners can play game roles, and under the games'task-driven, they will obtain the knowledge initiatively which can solve some game tasks from books, project-based learning websites. At the same time, they will join in the community to exchanges and coordination to knowledge sharing and experience sharing, and finally realize the meaning construction of the knowledge.This paper illustrates the design processes of the RPG learning community,being combined with the science curriculum knowledge of fifth grade,and develop the "MYSTERY OF SUBSIDENCE" and "ESCAPE FROM THE PREHISTORIC ISLAND"."MYSTERY OF SUBSIDENCE" mainly tells us that a brave named Ralph fight with the gods to save two kind persons. While " ESCAPE FROM THE PREHISTORIC ISLAND " is about a brave trapped in a island look for fuel actively in order to escape. Two games combine the learning content with the game tasks, if learners enter the game,they will enter the story situation, and with the games'task driven,they can solve game tasks step by step, finally realize the learning for knowledge.In order to test the effectiveness of the RPG learning community applied to teaching,this paper also chooses the experimental primary school for teaching practice,collects and sorts the test scores of the experimental and the referenced,and using the professional statistical software SPSS for data analysis,finally draws a preliminary conclusion:in using RPG learning community, scores increased significantly,especially low grade.Development and practice RPG based on the situation cognitive provides a new thought and new ideas for the teaching informatization of elementary school,and has the very good reference and high application value.
