Ethnic pre-college education set up the golden bridge for the ethnic minority students to access to higher education studies. The main task of pre-college education is to improve the ethnic minority students'integrated qualities and skills and shorten the gap with the students taught in chinese by learn basic courses. So that they could meet the requirements of Bachelor degree's study and finish their school works successfully.In this paper, the author introduce the basic situation of the ethnic pre-college education in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region by a lot of data and field research. With historical analysis, the author combing the history of the ethnic pre-college education in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. the author analysis the current development of the ethnic pre-college education in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, by multi-disciplinary research methods,like Marxism-leninism ethnic theory and educational theory as well as field research.This paper is composed of four parts:The first part is preface. it points out the reason, significance and actuality of this research, together with the brief introduction of methodology.The second part is the basic introduction of ethnic pre-college education consisting of its connotation,functions,character,pattern,effects and status. The laws and regulations and policies relating to the ethnic pre-college education throughout history are introduced in the third part.The fourth part is composed of two contents:the problems and the solutions of the ethnic pre-college education in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The main problems are as follow:Insufficient investment; the teachers are poor in quality and lack in quantity; the student's learning foundation is not good enough and their knowledge structure is imbalance as well as the achievement gap between the ethnic minority students and the students taught in chinese is big; Current teaching material's contents are out of time and the structure is unreasonable. And then put forward some countermeasures and Suggestions.Article views:Although great changes had taken place in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's sociaty, the status of the ethnic pre-college education could not be shaken. We are expected to understand the value of ethnic pre-college education, to insist on developing it, to continue to improve the teaching conditions of it, to improve educational quality of it, to try hard to achieve common prosperity of all ethnic groups in Inner Mongolia.
