Mathematics is science of the model. All the concepts, formulas, theorems, principles and methods in the mathematics can be seen as a mathematical model. Based on this view, mathematics teaching should be to highlight the mathematical models, for which the concept of the mathematical model teaching can be proposed in this paper, and combined with educational theory put forward: the mathematical model teaching should be composed by construction of the model, pattern formation, migration of the patterns and the application of mathematical mode. On this basis, this article had an empirical study about " plurality inequalities" in the Shanghai Senior Secondary School by the use of mathematical models of teaching theory.In this study, High School (2) classes is randomized as the experimental class, using the mathematical models teaching methods to complete " plurality inequalities "; High School (1) class is set as the control class, which is accomplished " plurality inequalities " by using mathematical general teaching. By pre-test students were divided into three classes A, B group and C group, which represents the difference in three levels, and then teaching, and later through the post-test, students were divided into A, B and C groups. Through the pre-test and post test data collection of the experiments, we can observed the number of changes in A, B, C three groups between the experimental class and comparison classes . And to compare the two Classes in the first test case of knowledge mastery level and two classes of knowledge in the post-test mastery level in the situation. Although the mathematical model of teaching and general teaching each have their own advantages and disadvantages, but by the qualitative analysis of classroom observation and evaluation of data collection volume analysis, mathematical model of teaching is superior to the general teaching of teaching, which can get some inspiration.Mathematical model of the teaching is in accordance with the design point of view of mathematical model. Mathematical model of teaching focus on the construction of the mathematical model, the formation of mathematical model, migration of mathematical model, the application of mathematical models, these four areas are complementary and indispensable. But some teachers tend to ignore a part of them, or do not understand the interconnectedness of these aspects. So not only caused the formation of the cognitive structure of students in the imperfect, but also affected the efficiency of teaching. If the use of patterns not only to guide the teaching point of view clearly understand the system to help students construct their own cognitive structure, but also can improve the efficiency of mathematics teaching.
