Recently, the outline of the twelfth five-year plan for national economic and social development clearly stated that: "We should vigorously develop vocational education and expand investment in secondary vocational education in rural areas, striving to serve the construction of the new socialist countryside", which is a milestone in the development of secondary vocational education in countryside in China.after nearly thirty years of wave-like development process, the secondary vocational education in villages in our country has begun to take shape and moved in positive direction on the base of drawing various countries'successful experience and continuous efforts and exploration. At the same time, there are also some problems.Firstly, this paper investigates and analyses the present state of secondary vocational education in rural districts in China. In addition, the author address many existing problems such as: weak professional levels of the teachers; troublesome recruitments of agricultural specialty; an incoherent join between talents training and markets leading by hysteretic course design; and inefficient organization of teaching for the uneven levels of students. Secondly, the author put forward following ways to solve those problems: the government should strengthen publicity,change people's understanding of traditional vocational education, improve the quality of teaching staff and education, correct peoples'misunderstanding of agronomy and enhance the source and employment rate of agronomy by scientific guidance, refresh the specialty setting in time and keep pace with the times. Moreover, the paper advises the government and enterprise to invest positively in secondary vocational education in villages and increase the proportion of secondary vocational education during senior secondary school education, standardize the enrollment of secondary vocational education system and access system to education, strictly supervise the evaluation of professional qualifications system and heighten the approval of society. At last, considering the development history and current situation of secondary vocational education in countryside, the paper predicts that the scale of secondary vocational education in rural areas will gradually get powerful, stable and mature, while the discipline will be set more professionally and college majors will be more reasonable. The development of secondary vocational education in rural areas, a powerful booster of the new socialist countryside, can effectively improve the comprehensive quality of our rural population and promote rural economic development. After learning and thinking over the history and status of rural secondary vocational education, the secondary vocational education in rural districts will develop more scientifically and reasoningly.
