For a long time, there is a serious tendency of scientific methodology in china's education research. On the one hand, this tendency make educational research more scientific, on the other hand, this also results many theoretical and practical problems that can not be solved in education research. Gradually, the limitations of scientific methodology expose, this situation cause the concern of scholars of education research, and scholars start to doublt about the scientific methodology of education research.This also prompt the scholars to reflect on the scientific methodology of education research.In addition, in the late of 1990s, with the rise of the philosophy of postmodernism in western and its wide-ranging implications, many education researchers make deeper studies and reflections on scientific methodology of education research, these reflections is built on the basis of the previous reflections on the limitations of scientific methodology. Gradually, another tendency of methodology in education research against scientific methodology formed, this is humanism methodology of education research. Therefore, it can be said that the exposure of the limitations of scientific methodology of educational research and the influence of the philosophy of postmodernism promote the rise of humanism methodology of education research.Thus, humanism methodology of education research's emergence mainly against about the limitations of scientific methodology, and this methodology's main goal is to solve some drawbacks and problems of education research which is under the statute and guided by the scientific methodology. It should be said, humanism methodology of education research has great significance in solving those problems resulted by scientific methodology and helping education research to get rid of dilemma of scientific methodology. Such as, on the object of education research, it emphasize the "value given" components included in the object of education research, and it emphasize the existence of education as a social history and culture. On the method of education research, those "bottom-up" methods and method of hermeneutics are emphasized especially. In the domain of education research, the "value problem" is involved into the vision of the researchers.However, from the emergence of postmodernism, some contradictions and shortcomings with its own that can not be overcome have existed. Humanism methodology of education research is formed on the basis of postmodernism, so naturally, this methodology born with defects, Humanism methodology of education research goes so far on the criticism of scientific methodology that goes to the position of anti-science and anti-rational. In addition, a series of problems are triggered in education research under the guidance of humanist methodology. Such as in scientific classification, it advocates that science should be divided into natural science and human science, lacking of reasonable position on the social science. On the method of education research, humanist methodology of education research emphasize the "bottom-up" methods too much, but did not clearly recognize the limitations of these methods, which make the results of research bound to be subjective and relativism.In the domain of education research, in some extent, humanist methodology of education research ignored the importance of researching about "question of fact". If the researchers can not clearly recognize these limitations of humanist methodology, still adhere to the humanist methodology as a guide to education research, more problems will be resulted. In view of this, it is inevitable that abandoning the humanist methodology of educational research, the only thing we should do is to choose the appropriate methodology—the human science methodology of education research, according to the characteristics of education phenomenon and the current situation of educational research in china. Only guided by human science methodology, can education research develop healthy and smoothly.
