As the competition of economy and comprehensive strength is increasing constantly, it has been an irreproachable path to make a country powerful with the help of science and technology. Therefore, every nation, one after another, takes actions to strengthen its science education, which initiates and pushes forward the reform of science education. Accordingly, people's conceptions renewed continuously and entirely new educational objective emerged at the right moment, educators pay close attention to students'all-round-development increasingly, so as to cultivate talents with competitiveness and perfect scientific literacy. Under such conditions, it is imperative to open up comprehensive science curriculum for the highlighted disadvantage of traditional disciplinary course. It is beneficial to explore a successful way for the reform and development of science curriculum in China by probing the successful experience and existing problems of Korean Junior science curriculum for the distinct features in its reform and development, which has profitable inspiration and reference for China.This thesis can be divided into the following four parts:Part one, Introduction. To introduce the genesis, core concepts, research fruits in existence, purposes and significance, idea and methods of this research.Part two, Historical evolution of science curriculum reform in Korean Junior high schools. According to the seven curriculum reform in Korea, relevant important factors in reform were combed and analyzed comprehensively, and variation trends and characteristics of science curriculum renovation in Korean Junior high schools were induced, such as capability of curriculum objective, flexibility of time distribution, structuring of curriculum content, integration of curriculum nature and diversity of curriculum evaluation. Part three, main contents of the new round of science curriculum reform in Korean Junior high schools. Focusing on the 7th science curriculum reform in Korean Junior high schools, factors that could represent the main contents of curriculum reform were investigated, and the status quo of the reform and development of science curriculum in Korean was illustrated. On the aspects of curriculum idea and objective, the new round of science curriculum reform of Korea was directed by the idea of STS, which paid attention to students' subjective roles, gave consideration both to mass education and elite education, so as to cultivate citizens with scientific quality, health, and creativity; On the aspects of curriculum contents, different subjects were integrated to some extent, based on keeping back the systematic character of original disciplinary course. As for teaching materials of science curriculum, the quality of them had been improved by adopting vivid manifestation and compiling skills, units and themes of inquiring activities were added, basic, complementary and deepened contents with different levels were included, and other curriculum materials were valued; On the implementation of curriculum, teachers'roles and functions in the curriculum execution, and inquiring teaching with particular features and inquiring learning in Korean Junior science curriculum were emphatically analyzed, based on the levels of teachers, who were the important subject in curriculum implementation, and teaching, which was the main approach to carry out curriculum; And on the aspects of curriculum evaluation, the evaluation criteria had certain pertinence and flexibility, the evaluation contents covered a wide range of relevant field, diagnostic evaluation, formative evaluation and summarized evaluation were used synthetically, and it was emphasized on longitudinal comparison through evaluation outcomes, while, the entire horizontal comparison was weakened. It demanded a strong supporting system to develop curriculum, and a series of polices and regulations were enacted in Korea with the support of fund, facility and social situation, which provided possibility and guarantee for the reform and development of science curriculum in Korean.Part four, Reflection on the reform and development of science curriculum in Korean and its inspirations. Through reflection on the historical evolution and the reform contents of Korean science curriculum, some inspirations were induced for the reform and development of science curriculum in China. With regard to the reform period, to intensify research demonstration and refuse blind reform; to comply with flexibility and preserve. Concerning idea and objective, to renew thought and idea, and expand idea outlook; to popularize scientific literacy and concern for elite education; to keep conformity of objective and put into practice. With respect to curriculum contents, to cut down complicated and troublesome contents and add up humanistic care; to enhance teaching materials quality and embody comprehensive features; to perfect content system and pay attention to ethical values. In relation to curriculum implementation, to improve teacher's quality and conform to curriculum requirements; to set up characteristic programs and meet with students'demand; to layout enquiring rationally and induce students to construct actively; to encourage teachers to mobile and promote them to develop comprehensively. As to curriculum evaluation, to work out rational criteria and supply with flexible reference; to expand evaluation scope and perfect evaluation contents; to get rid of the impact of exam-oriented education and enrich evaluation means; to cherish evaluation outcomes and hold the optimal timing; to participate in international investigation and strength horizontal comparison. In terms of guarantee for reform, to renew educational concept and advance curriculum position; to perfect policies and regulations and consolidate implementation; to increase financial input and balance the allocation of resources; to intensify social support and build up favorable atmosphere.
