Issued "Language Curriculum Standards" makes satisfaction shown in the construction of language teaching material. A variety of different versions of primary school language teaching material are appeared in country. Primary school teaching material is the standard of the primary language teaching that is not only the basis for the teachers implementing teaching and completing teaching work but also the tool for students studying language and finishing studying task. PEP(People's Education Publishing House) primary language (experimental) materials has its own characteristics in many aspects, for example:its content layout is try to combine the teaching material around topics, its presentation method has affinity, its teaching material is designed more openly and focused on application more, its text shows the requirement of times and is close to primary pupils live. Exercises in composition is a activity combined of brains and hands, an important form to communicate feeling and thought with words, a process from observation and recognition of society and themselves to creative expression. Now the situation of primary composition exercise is:teachers are afraid of teaching and analysis composition exercise, the pupil hate composition exercise and have psychological fear, hate psychology; these phenomenon are widespread:nothing to say with assignment; lacking in substance, lack of personality, plagiarism, lack of true feeling. Many reasons can be ascribed to these situations. This paper tries to analyze the PEP primary school language teaching material from three aspects:composition exercise topic choosing, exercise consequence ordering and closely extent of exercise correlation, ties to make the composition exercise system suit for the children's physical and mental development and at the same time cultivates pupil's ability of observation, reading, creating and then hence their composition level.This paper is divided into following sections:Chapter 1:definite the topic and conception, introduce the research basis, path and method. Chapter 2:based on the curriculum criterion of primary language teaching material, PEP primary school teaching material is analyzed from three aspects of composition exercise topic choosing, exercise consequence ordering, horizontal correlation and simply appraised according to the latest educational psychology achievement simultaneously, pave for the complement design in next chapter.Chapter 3:based on the "Development Law Of Student's Language Thinking and Composition Cognitive", combined with the teaching practice, improvements are given according to the problems discussed in Chapter 2 in order to make the whole process from composition content choosing to teaching practice optimized in integration, so as to improve the pupil's writing ability.
