The Study And Writing Of The Local Chinese Teaching Materials For Ukrainian Primary Schools

With the development of friendly relationship between Ukraine and many other oriental countries, the knowledge of at least one of the Oriental languages has become essential for the talented young people. Since China and Ukraine’s exchange in different spheres of life become closer, people of our countries began to pay more attention to the Chinese language teaching problem.In early50’s the First Oriental Language School opened in Kiev and started the history of Chinese language teaching in Ukraine. The Ministry of Education of both countries Ukraine and China has signed a teaching cooperation agreement in2002. Currently Ukraine received the help of the Chinese Embassy in Ukraine, as well as Hanban in opening three Confucius Institutes and a Confucius Classrooms on it’s territory.Within the last five years Ukraine faces the phenomenon of rush for Chinese language. More and more Ukrainians of different age are seemed to take great interest in Chinese culture and language and willing to master it. Chinese linguists in Ukraine have launched work on the writing of the local Chinese textbooks. The purpose of this paper is to assist in the completion of this task and the further research work on the topic.The first chapter introduces the problem of the research, importance of the topic, objectives and research methods.The second chapter dwells on the requirements for the language skills provided by the Ukraine intensive learning Chinese syllabus for primary school students (fourth grade) and provides the detailed overview of the learners’age characteristics description. The third chapter is a comparative analysis of the foreign Chinese teaching materials and local Chinese teaching materials. This chapter describes the characteristics and the difficulties occurring while writing the local language teaching materials.The fourth chapter focuses on the structural system and showcase of the local Chinese teaching materials.
