As the basis for the other sports, the athletics is not only good for students in basic athletic ability,but also contribute to the physical and mental health. However,the teaching of track and field in our nation's primary is not optimitics. In order to improve this stituation and enhance the physical health of elementaries, IAAF Reginal Development Center·Bei jing introduced the IAAF Track and Field Children's Fun, based on the sunshine sports.So far, kid's athletics has been conducted for six years. But there are a little more than 100 experimental schools in the nationwide, and they are less than 2 years. Kid's athletics in China is still in the initial stage. This study is to analyse the problems in the promotion of kids'athletic from the spread extent of kids'athletics, the teaching status,the cognition of students and the teaching enviorment by many methods, such as documentation, questionnaire, expert interview and mathmetical statistics, and so on. The objects of it are the experimental schools of kids'athletics, and the teachers and students of that. Through the study,many problems was found:1 The trainings of Kids'atheletcs are being carried out, and has large number of instructor graduated. But there are still some questions. For example,the training of instructors offers less, and the trainig time is too short. The design of course content still need to be improved.2 Because of teaching content rich and colorful, organization form unformality, and teaching material novel and flowery, the Kids' atheletcs have been interested by teachers and students.But "the development of kids'athletics" still exist some problems, such as the concentration fo teaching time, insufficient localization of content.3 The optimized structure of PE teachers team has existed in the experimental school, but the "trophy doctrine"of teaching evaluation and arduous workload of PE teachers, that affect their participation in kids' track.4 The funds of kids'athletics in the experimental school are inadequacy. Although the PE teachers have been to compile with material and instruments, but the quantity of those is seriously insufficient. It cannot satisfy the children in schools athletics requirements.5 The lesson of kids'athletics has been in the syllabus of the colleges on sports.
