Teacher professionalization is a lengthy process of dynamic process, which needs both external support and the teacher's individual unremitting efforts. It is a perfect combination of an external support and internal drive. This article using the literature data method, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics method, chooseing eleven Shanghai representative ordinary university for surveying their martial arts teachers' skill levels, research ability, teaching ability, professional attitude in order to understand the situation, find out the problem, and put forward the corresponding strategies and suggestions.Meanwhile the research results can be regarded as basis for the related departments. The main conclusions are as follows:First, though there are relatively enough wushu college teaching force including a large number of professors and associate professors, the age structure are unreasonable. So we should pay high value on young and middle-aged wushu instructors, such as offering them continued education opportunity, training some outstanding young and middle-aged wushu instructors to be backbone strength.Secondly, through investigating, the current wushu teachers' professional technical level is relative higher, with a good master of martial arts project.but they are not expert at the traditional martial arts project and martial arts, which harms to train the comprehensive martial arts talents. So we should intensify training and further strength, implementing the two-way policy of "go global, introducing", namely walking into society for learning or hiring folk excellent traditional ex-boxer into university, creating the traditional martial arts of the whole project studying atmosphere.Thirdly, the survey shows that the current college wushu teachers' scientific research level is higher, but the teaching method, teaching means and curriculum development ability need further improving and the teaching method requires more innovative; Teaching means old-style, Course contents of creativity is not strong. So we shall encourage the reform spirit of new curriculum, take "the health first" and "lifetime sports" as the guiding ideology, take the student as the main body, with the teacher as the dominant form of developing teaching methods. Fourthly, the current college wushu teachers' knowledge structure has an unbalanced development. martial arts discipline and sports discipline theory knowledge are down-to-earth, but foreign language and computer application are poorer, which are disadvantage for the teaching new ideas, new knowledge information acquisition, and also go against communicating with foreign experts. besides these situations are disadvantageous to martial arts internationalization promotion and dissemination. So we put forward a proposal of renewing wushu instructors' ideas, broadening their horizons, strictly demanding themselves under international teachers' professional standards, and improving the capability of self-learning.
