This research studies children aged from 2-6 years old and their fathers from the perspective of fathers'behavior in child rearing, in order to learn the present state and features of fathers'behavior in child rearing as well as children's social behavior development and find out the interrelationship between the two, in the hope of providing evidence for fathers'effective involvement in child rearing. This research can mainly be divided to three parts:Firstly, it studies the present state and features of fathers'behavior in child rearing. Using the adapted Inventory of Father Involvement made by Hawkins, this research analyzed more than 600 fathers'behavior in child rearing and found that they averaged a score of 2.95323, meaning fathers frequently involve in child rearing. Some other findings include that fathers'behavior in child rearing emphasizes differently with a sequence of their most favored behavior to the least as "indirect support", "emotional expression", "social encouragement", "interpersonal communication", "attention and help", "discipline and control". Many factors influence fathers'behavior in child rearing, which may include the occupation of the father and the educational background, etc. Then, this research shifts its attention to study children's social behavior development. Employing the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment Clinical Form developed by Paul A. LeBuffe & Jack A. Naglieri (2003), this research studied the social behavior of more than 600 children and found that among all the children with a score under 40 points,24.7% of them needed adult attention in contrast to those 2.4% who earned more points in the field of protective factor behavior, and 38.4% are of the average level of problem behavior,61.3% need adults'attention on their behavior development. Finally, this research studies the relationship between fathers'behavior in child rearing and children's social behavior development. With the methods of regression analysis, correlation analysis and path analysis, this research analyzes the statistics of more than 600 pairs of father and child respectively of fathers' behavior in child rearing and children's social behavior development, and concludes that fathers' educational behavior is helpful both for the development of children's protective factor behavior and the constraint of children's questionable behavior, and that communication between father and child, father's expression of feelings towards the child as well as father's indirect support for and discipline of the child are all predicable of the child's social behavior.
