| Constructivism as a rising theory of education has constantly affecting educational reformation. During recent decades, constructivism had been introduced to China through translation. It's viewpoint has been widely accepted by educators in China and began to affect more and more the practice of education in China.Constructive has its own views on teaching and learning. Contract to traditional teacher-based learning methods, Constructivism focus on construction process of knowledge in the learner's mind, pay more attention on how learners to play a proactive role in learning. Therefore, constructivism emphasis on student's learning center position.Chinese traditional mode of teaching mainly affected by the former Soviet Union, no longer meet the new requirement of the time. The inherent drawbacks of China's education were calling to be changed. New requirement were proposed in Education reformation. The teacher-based teaching methods should to be converted. Out of doubt, Constructivism provides useful suggestions for the new curriculum reformation.This thesis contains following parts. First it's a brief analysis of the new curriculum. Followed by generation and the development of constructivism, the representatives and their thoughts, and constructivist learning theory is introduced, and try to design a teaching case. Finally, the factors hinder the practices of constructivism in teaching are analyzed. By writing this paper, some constructive suggestions for historical teacher in senior high school are expect, in turn they can familiar with constructivism. |
