Cross-national Marriage And Its Influence

Marriage and family is always one of the main topic for the research of cultural anthropology, sociology and ethics and other related humanities. Cross-national marriage is a kind of marriage behavior model, an important phenomenon in marriage form, and also one of the most important fields for the research of anthropology and sociology. The culture system of Hui nationality and han nationality are entirely different. The marriage between the two nationalities is the most immediate way and method for the combination of the two cultures. The main topic of this passage is the phenomenon of intermarriage between hui and han, and factors which can influence the intermarriage. Meanwhile, under the influence of intermarriage between hui and han, the cultures of the two ethics also get a much more frequent interaction and contact. The behavior of intermarriage can also produce certain effect on the cultures of hui an han.There are totally five chapters in this paper which discuss the main topic of this article from the present situation of intermarriage between the two nationalities, the main factors which can influence the intermarriage,and the effect of intermarriage to the cultures.The first chapter is an introduction part. In this part, I mainly introduce the significance and the reason why I chose this topic,the present research situation in domestic and foreign, the chosen reason and the introduction of the field work point. At the same time, it also introduces the situation of fieldwork before specific writing and the main research method.The second chapter mainly describes the phenomenon of intermarriage between hui and han, discussing the change of main marriage system and the marriage concept of hui nationality respectively. Anglicizing the reason and the change process which from endogamy to cross-national marriage about marriage form of hui nationality from the angle of history, and mainly talking about the forming reason of the concept" exogamy is forbidden to female of hui nationality". meanwhile, in the process of anal sizing about fieldwork material, I get a result about the changes of hui nationality in the concept of cross-national marriage, and describe the whole process of intermarriage between hui and han according to five distinct cases, intuitively elaborating several problems which the intermarriage must face and the hardship if an intermarriage wants to be accepted by its nation, and vastly different results of cross-national marriage families.The third chapter mainly analyses factors which can influence the marriage between ehui and han. The writer separates these factors into factors of Dominant structure and the factors of Recessive structure. The factors of dominant structure are:guidance of government policy, the development of social economic and social mobility, regional living structure, family background, education level, career and income. Factors of recessive structure are:value recognition and personal feeling of the two cultures to the cross-national marriage and the history of relationship between hui and han.The forth chapter is mainly about the influence of the cross-national marriage on the National culture and consciousness. Fore the adaptability and the acquire of culture, in some families of intermarriag,national culture and national consciousness of the two nationalities will surely change in this kind of double culture exists space. There are mainly two kinds of culture change:the first one is culture variation and the meaning change of culture, the second one is differentiation and integration of culture. This chapter will describe the infuence of cross-nation marriage on national culture from two aspects:one is the self-adaption of hui culture to the intermarriage, another one is the influence of cross-nation marriage on the integration of cross-nation culture.The fifth chapter is epilogue part. Hui nationality and han nationality combined their two kinds of entirely different cultures by the way of cross-national marriage. Under the effect of adaptability and internal tension of culture, the self-adaption of culture system is surely to happen. These two cultures will continually fuse and reconstruct new culture factor to adapt to the two cultures coexist external soil. The writer considers that there will be more and more intermarriage between Hui and han. with this dual cultural family as the core, there will be a new blueprint for the reconstruct of hui and han interact, and it is an important way to cultural ards diversification. Meanwhile,the author sincerely hope,with the help of cross-national marriage, the culture system of hui and han,traditional and modern can be better union, and there will ben more and more tolerance and understanding to instead of xenophobic between culture and culture.
