Since the Reform and Opening-up, China's ideological and political education on college students has made great achievement, but also exposed some problems, which has reduced the effectiveness of ideological and political education on college students, This paper selects "The innovation and development of the content of ideological and political education on college students since the Reform and Opening-up" as the research object, and research the content of ideological and political education Since Reform and Opening up, such as the history historical experience, the demand of times and the theoretical basis, and so on to provide correct ways to solve existing problems, so that it will be helpful for enriching the content of ideological and political education system and improving the attractiveness of the content and ideological and political education, so as to further strengthen and improve university students'ideological and political education as well as nurturing qualified builders and successors for the building of socialism with Chinese characteristics.This paper uses the literature analysis, generalization and summarization, system analysis, historical and logical research and analysis of uniform law. It consists of five parts: The first part is the introduction, which focuses on describing the background, the innovation and research approaches; The second part describes the innovation in the development of history and the historical experience of the content of ideological and political education since the reform and opening up; The third part explains the demand of the times on the development and innovation of the content of ideological and political education since the reform and opening up theoretical basis of Marxism; The fourth part focuses on the tasks and goals of the content of ideological and political education since the Reform and Opening-up;the last part focuses on the reflection on the development and innovation of the content of ideological and political education, and the analysis of instructional effects of the latest theory of Marxism localized in China.
