Hebei, known as the home of Wushu, occupies an important position in the country. The women's team of Heibei Wushu routine has attained excellent results in National Games, National Championships and World Championships. However, during the National Championships of recent years and the 11th National Game, Hebei Wushu Team has been in a declining trend. Together with the development of competitive sports, performances will be influenced by various factors, among which the training level is on of the most important factors. The New Rules put forward in 2003 has added the score of difficult movements. Difficulty is divided into link difficulty and movement difficulty. The increase of difficulty score and quantization and refinement of the requirements have put higher standards for athletes'lower limb strength. It is critical for athletes to accomplish difficult movements in order to obtain good results in competition. As the difficulty of movements increases, the angle of vacated rotation is also adding. Movements like Tornado Kick Turn 720°, Outside Crescent Kick 720°and Butterfly Twist 720°gradually become universal. In order to avoid disconfirmation of the angle of difficulty in the competition, athletes have to rotate a big angle in the air, even more than 720°, which requires the athlete has a certain height after his take-off. This in turn requests the athletes good jump quality. Strength training, especially lower limb strength training for women athletes of Wushu routine, composes a major content of training. This research has taken 30 women athletes from Sports Bureau of Hebei Province Wushu Administrative Center as subjects, and a training experiment has been carried out for three months. The paper has made a summarization of the characteristics of muscle strength changes of athletes'lower limbs, revealed the advantages and disadvantages in improving the athletes'ability by lower limb strength training methods. Hopefully, more beneficial training methods will be adopted in future strength training. Research Findings:1. After experiment, peak torque and average power of knee muscles of lower limbs of athletes in three groups have increased in different rates, which shows that the lower limb strength quality has been improved during the experiment. What's more, the difficulty level of each group has increased in different rates.2. To avoid knee injury, the knee muscle strength training should emphasize on the training of knee muscle strength and the balanced development of muscle strength of the left and right side, as well as the flexion and extension muscle strength. After the experiment, athletes in three test groups have shown a small growth in flexor and extensor ratio. Furthermore, during the quick strength test, the third group gained a higher ratio of flexor and extensor of right leg than the other two groups, which on a certain degree due to the largest range of increasing the difficulty of the third group, mainly reflected in that in the jumping phase, the difficulty movements mostly emphasize on right leg kicking.3. After the experiment, the difficulty focus of athletes in three test groups has shown a significantly improvement, which shows that the jumping ability of athletes has been improved during the experimental training. In addition, there is a comparatively increase in the average power of each athlete, which further proves that quick kicking ability of athletes has been enhanced.4. Through the observation of knee training angle, it has been discovered that only the training method of the third group matches most closely to the knee angle of difficult movement in Wushu routine. Besides, the height of gravity center after take-off of athletes in the third group has gained the largest improvement. Suggestions1. In lower limb strength training of high level Wushu routine, knee muscle strength training is of special significance. Exercise intensity and load should be taken into consideration in the training schedule, and targeted training should be conducted according to the requirement of strength nature needed to avoid fatigue .2. The coach should take the technical features of specific sports into consideration when making training plans. The final purpose of strength training is set according to the requirement of special techniques and it should keep accordance with special techniques no matter what kind of forms of strength training is taken. The research has proved that jumping exercise is an effective method to develop the athletes'lower limb quick strength and the take-off angle of standing vertical jump and single leg hop is in substantial agreement with special techniques. Therefore, jumping exercises of the lower limbs should be enhanced in future training.
