The degree of socialization throughout the world is becoming higher and higher. With the continuing development and application of information technology, daily life and production is deeply and enormously influenced. It is said that an information age has come. In this rapid developing era, the subject, content and methodology of information technology courses are changing as well. Shanghai School Information Technology Curriculum Standards (Draft) says that the principle of combining social practicing and in-class studying together shall be the main methodology in information technology courses... so that students can complete their study goals in targeted and meaningful activities. The research here is based on how to launch project-based learning events, how to carry out those events effectively and reasonably during the different phrases and whether the advantage of project-based learning events, aiming to cultivate the information literacy of students, will be developed.Opinions on project-based learning are summarized. The guiding meaning of project-based learning to the practice of in-class education is analyzed. Furthermore, the application of epe platform in the information technology class is attempted in order to establish a mode that takes project-based learning as a center. Through concrete events, the effect of project-based learning is explored. With thorough discussion on the design of learning environment, learning events and evaluation process under the epe platform, problems and solutions are figured out.This article contains five chapters.The first chapter tells about the background and the significance of learning events and the current situation of the application of different learning platforms.The second chapter introduces the concepts of "project", "project-based learning" and other basic knowledge on project-based learning events. The third chapter introduced the functions of epe platform in detail and how it is used. Several practicing teaching approaches are introduced based on the epe platform. Moreover, the key points in practicing are noted.In the fourth chapter, two cases on epe platform practice are analyzed and summarized.In the fifth chapter, the circumstances in exercising epe platform are summarized while deficiencies are noted how future teaching approaches can be improved.
