Gymnastics as China's college physical education courses in a trunk, its importance has beenunquestionable. The face of reform brought about by the number of hours teaching gymnastics deepcuts in many domestic institutions in the gymnastics course content and curriculum reform is set in theimplementation process still controversial. From a variety of gymnastic movements to select and set thecurriculum content to what the scale and value to select and set the gymnastics course content is a hotissue of current research. Ministry of Education in 2003 by enacting the "National Colleges andUniversities Undergraduate Curriculum Physical Education Program" The promulgation andimplementation, indicates that China has formed a physical education course with certaincharacteristics, structure and system. Gymnastics Courses have been identified as main courses, whichis the realization of physical education professional development goals and tasks of the importantsubjects. At the same time the implementation of basic education curriculum reform and development,to train middle school teachers as the main objective of the College Physical Education curriculumreform is imperative. How to reform and development of physical education teaching gymnastics toadapt to new forms of social demand, is currently a serious problem is the field of teaching gymnasticsare strong in the forward-looking and practical one of the topics.This article aims to study Physical Education Colleges and Universities in Gansu ProvinceGymnastics teaching status, by choosing Gansu Province (Northwest Normal University, NorthwestUniversity for Nationalities, Lanzhou City College, Tianshui Normal College, Gansu College, HexiCollege) six undergraduate colleges sports Education status of the teaching of gymnastics as an objectof study, using literature, expert interviews, questionnaire survey method and mathematical statisticsand other research methods, physical education in Gansu Province Gymnastics teaching objectives,teaching methods, teaching contents and methods, teacher qualifications structure , influencing factors,development measures in areas such as analysis of research: (1) Gansu Province Universities shouldtake the initiative to enhance vertical and horizontal linkages, expand the development space forgymnastics, and actively organizing events, expanding schools, known to promote the development ofcollege gymnastics. (2) With colleges and universities in Gansu Province in recent years, enrollmentbegan, a sharp increase in the number of students, teachers, obviously inadequate resources, especiallythe men, a serious lack of a high standard of professional teachers. Physical Education Teaching and Research Section's leadership should attach great importance to the introduction of talented peopleworking to ensure the quality of teaching. (3) gymnastics teachers must attach great importance totheoretical knowledge, and strive to build their own knowledge structure and professional theoreticallevel, involving multi-disciplinary field, multi-perspective studies and extensive academic exchangesand research activities.
