Study On Outstanding Chinese Taekwondo Player's Character Features And Situation Perception Features

Taekwondo originates from Korea Peninsula and became official competition events of Olympics in the year of 2000. Since 1994 when Taekwondo is developed in China, players of some levels have reached international level thanks to the coordinated efforts of management personnel, coaches, players and other relevant personnel. More attention is given to character features and competition situation etc. that can affect player's performance as the technical level becomes increasingly closer. The paper provides theoretical basis for teaching, training, selection and competition of Taekwondo coaches through analyzing the character features and perception of competition situation of China's outstanding Taekwondo players. The study also fills up vacancy of Chinese Taekwondo player's character features and perception of competition situation.The paper adopts document retrieval, questionnaire, expert interview and mathematics statistics etc to carry out study and analysis on outstanding Chinese Taekwondo player's character features and perception of competition situation.The results show that: 1 main character features of outstanding Taekwondo players: 1) there are more players in lower level group in terms of hardiness, and more players in intermediate group is more in terms of seven dimensions including sociability, intellectuality, self-control ability, emotionality, enterprising spirit and flexibility; 2) The intellectuality of female players is better than that of male players; 3) excitability of player of international master level is better than that of player of national master level and Class I and II level. 4) Emotionality of international master level player is better than that of national master level player; 5) the hardiness, intellectuality, self-control ability, emotionality, enterprising spirit and flexibility of players ranking first 8 in competition are better than that of players with ranking outside first 8. 2 Main features of competition situation perception of outstanding Taekwondo players: 1) in terms of factitious situation, 1) female players is more prone to negative impact than male players, The players who have previously achieved excellent results are affected less than the players who have not achieved any good results. 2) in terms of difference in natural situation factors, Class II level players are affected by negative impact more than international master level and national master level players. 3) in terms of sudden situation factors, players of junior high school degree is affected by negative impact more than players of senior high school degree. 4) Poor sleeping, confronting with players who has beaten him/her previously and injury have large negative impact on player's performance.Conclusion: Differences exist among player of different character, level and training period in different dimensions of character features, the negative impacts imposed by competition situation may be related to player's sex, level and educational background.The coaches can use outstanding Taekwondo player's character features as the reference index for player selection and arrange training and direct competition with respect to player's character features. The coaches can reduce the negative impact's imposed by competition situation through changing player's passive perception, improvement of education and simulated training etc.
