The design of constructivism learning environments is not only a kind of teaching process design, but also a kind of teaching atmosphere and situation design. The marked character of modern learning environments design in China is that it is based on constructivism theory and combined with modern information technology. The difference between the design of constructivism class learning environments and traditional teaching process design is that learning environments design has got rid of the traditional teaching mode in which teachers are authorities and the focus is teaching. The design of learning environments aims to develop the learners'self-determination, exploratory ability, creativity and cooperative ability which accords with the modern social requirements for independent innovation and cooperative talents. There are much theory elements for the learning environments design. They are Situated Cognition Theory, Distributed Cognition Theory, Active Theory and Case—Based Reasoning Theory.Now traditional teaching ideology still dominates the class teaching in adult college in China which has brought the quality crisis. Using the ideology of modern learning environments design to guide the adult higher education is an effective way to eliminate the crisis. The design of class learning environments in adult colleges includes three parts: 1.According to the constructivism learning theory and adult teaching theory, analyze the perfect characters of the class learning environments in adult colleges. 2. According to the investigative questionnaire, analyze the actuality and problems of learning environments in adult colleges in China. Then know from which aspects to make efforts. 3. Keep to the principles of learning environments design, discuss how to create condition or use existing condition fully to create nice learning environments for supporting and accelerating the learners to study more effectively. With regard to how to practice concretely, the colleges, learners and teachers should make great efforts together. Colleges should try their best to innovate in supervisory mode and provide learners with substantial support. Learners should enhance their consciousness and abilities of constructivism learning, and master the techniques of self-determination study and cooperative study. Teachers should try to innovate in their teaching mode and teaching techniques for the sake of supporting learners'learning.
