A Survey Of The Employment Status Of College Graduates Of Hebei Province In The Global Financial Crisis Situation

In 2009, the outbreak of the global financial crisis triggered an economic recession in developed countries and led to global employment decline. China's job market is also adversely affected. Therefore, college graduates employment, as a new incremental employment, has been greatly influenced by changes in macro-and micro-economic environment. To some extent, college graduates can be regarded as"employment regulator"for enterprises to respond to the external environment. The global economic downturn brought by the global financial crisis leads to decline in both consumer demand and investment demand, which give rise to a sharp decrease in demand for new labor force. As a result, enterprises'first and foremost decision-making is to reduce the incremental employment. In such severe employment situation, the issue of college graduates employment is more prominent. Accordingly, how to make the college students of this special period obtain employment successfully becomes an issue closely watched by our country, all the universities, parents and students themselves.Comparing the employment situation of college graduates in ten areas around Hebei Province, the employment situation of sub-degree and sub-professional students, as well as the nature of the unit and the regional flow analysis, it shows that the employment situation in Hebei Province is relatively consistent with the national average basic level. Graduate employment situation is not ideal, undergraduate students empolyment situation is good, while junior college students have a low employment rate. Engineering class graduates employment siatuation is generally good, on the contrary, the employment situation of graduates of Literature and History is not ideal. Non-public emplyment has become the main channel, while the number of creating business is still relatively small and the proportion is very low. The avaliable data show that college students in Hebei Province in general have chosen to remain employment in the Province.Against the very limited backdrop of relevant researches at home and abroad, this paper conducts a questionnaire survey on nearly 10000 graduating students of Hebei Province in order to make a comprehensive investigation into their psychological states in the international financial crisis situation. Combined with the characteristics of the international financial crisis as well as the actual situation of college students of Hebei Province, this paper, on the basis of the results of investigation and analysis, sums up the impact of the financial crisis on the industry and analyzes the questions appearing during the practice as well as the helpful effect of the employment support policies introduced by our government on college graduates with the purpose of proposing viable solutions.
