Study On Undergraduates' Employment Against The Backdrop Of Financial Crisis In China

College students'pressure in seeking employment was becoming increasingly high with the sudden outbreak of global financial crisis in 2008. Students met with tighter situation and unprecedented complexity and intractability in job seeking than ever before. Employment of those new graduates is drawing close attention from the whole society, which becomes a problem much more than employment and prospects of the students, it impacts significantly on education reform such as specialty setting and style of training. Effect of this issue cannot be devalued since trouble in social stability would be generated if not well treated. Therefore, to find a reasonable solution to the employment issue is not only an urgent task for college students, but also a difficult problem for universities, governments of all levels, and people from all walks of life, who should jointly get involved in dealing with the issue.This thesis studies the employment problem of new graduates based on the background of financial crisis in China. It starts with the impact on graduate employment brought by the crisis, narrating from both positive and negative aspects, and also it analyses the current situation of new graduates'employment in an objective way. Moreover, it thoroughly studies the main problems in current employment policies, concepts and career guidance of the students. It advances that the issue of new graduate employment should be settled by utilizing some favorable aspects and overcoming the adverse ones of the financial crisis. This paper also holds that China should extract experiences from developed countries which are suitable for Chinese society. We should also seek opportunities from the crisis, finding solutions to the employment issue. And this paper can be a theoretical reference to a certain degree for severe the situation we are confronting with.
